KRINNER ground screws secure floating piers in Lake Urisee during floods.

What makes lake Urisee in Reutte, Tyrol, special is that it has no inflow or outflow of water.
Consequently, the jetties on this Alpine lake have to float atop the water to accommodate the rise and fall in level, which can be anywhere up to four meters. To secure the floating piers during extremely high waters, they have to be secured by ropes, some of which are anchored onto the bottom of the lake by KRINNER ground screws. To implement this securing measure, up to four foundations per anchor point had to be installed under water. To do this, our partner Olaf Hoyer developed a special extension by which to drive the ground screw into the bed of the lake.
